Job Description
Part-Time 7pm to 7am Summary: Responsible for supervision of all certified respiratory therapists. Performs basic/advanced therapeutic procedures (i.e. nebulized medication/mechanical ventilization). Coordinates patient care needs with physicians/nursing staff. Monitors/evaluates pertinent information from patient's charts, and computes/prepares medications using basic principles of metric system. Qualifications: Requirements as specified for Certified Respiratory Therapist; RRT from NBRC, AAS degree and license through the New York State Education Department. Employees hired prior to 2004 are required to be Registered prior to December 31, 2005 and will need to obtain ACLS, PALS, NRP by December 31, 2005. Employees hired during and after 2005 will be required to be Registered with one year of their date of hire. They are also required to obtain ACLS, PALS & NRP. CPR certified.
